Italmopa (the Italian Millers Association) organized in Rome the biennial Congress of the European Flour Millers.

The event was attended by representatives of the Milling Industry from the 24 EU countries that are also members of EFM, and two additional countries attending as aggregate members. EFM represents over 90% of the capacity of the European milling industry.

Among the eminent speakers, Dr. Vito Pignatelli (coordinator of biomass and bioenergy technology at technical unit for renewable energy sources – ENEA) described during his speech the HYST technology as a highly effective system for processing waste materials from the milling industry, in order to produce renewable energy.
