Bits of Future: Food for All – Bridge Connecting Continents – 4.7.2015

The association Arte Quantica is glad to invite you to the art project Bridge Connecting Continents launch event, at the Triennale of Milan, in the Salon of Honor, Viale Alemagna, 6, 20121 Milan, on July 9th, 2015, at 4:30 pm.

"If each individual is a different point of view on the universe, true art cannot be other than a multiple point of view"

In the context of the cooperation project Bits of Future: Food for All (bits.technohyst.com) event the association Arte Quantica (artequantica.com) will launch the art project Bridge Connecting Continents at the Triennale of Milan. An Arte Quantica’s project, promoted by the association itself. The Event shares Expo Milan 2015’s purpose and philosophy.
The project comes from an idea about the role contemporary art plays in responding to some global problems such as energy and food security, and environment safeguard. A role that cannot be limited to debates and speeches aimed at making people aware but has to take concrete action to support sustainable development.

Bridge Connecting Continents aims to create a common ground and to facilitate interaction between Italian and African artists, through the creation of large paintings by multiple hands.
The core of this idea is sharing the richness that every different culture contains. It is an opportunity to connect through those deep values which are common to every creative experience, regardless of the different traditions and media used.

Bridge Connecting Continents initiative supports Bits of Future: Food for All, a Scienza per Amore’s international cooperation project aimed at helping developing countries, starting from the African continent.

The project aims to facilitate the economic transformation process and to improve productivity through an innovative system to treat industrial waste biomass for free. Such system is called Hyst.

H.E. Tumusiime Rhoda Peace, Commissioner of DREA (Department of Rural Economy and Agriculture) of the AU, will be a guest of honor for the event. During this meeting, the Memorandum of Understanding for the promotion of Bits of Future in Africa, between the African Union and the Scienza per Amore Association, will be made official.

At the end of the day guests will have the occasion to taste some appetizers and drinks at the Triennale’s spectacular location.
The Collective Artworks created by Arte Quantica’s artists will be exhibited until July 10th.
