Results of animal feed analysis
Treating wheat straw in HYST plants has highlighted an improvement in nutritional characteristics.
The following table shows the chemical composition of the raw material (base) and of the three different products as a result of processing (fractions).
Fraction 3 shows a higher concentration of nutrients, above all starch, proteins and lipids. Another important aspect for nutritional evaluation is the decrease in the levels of cellulose fiber in favor of the more digestible hemicellulose.

To estimate the importance of this result compare the nutritional value of fraction 3 with that of the raw material (low quality) and the most widely used fodder crops.
F3 has a UFL score that places it among the different types of hay, with no negative impact on the quality of the remaining fractions.
Only silage cereals – considered the gold standard in the feed industry – have higher scores.
